Model of the USS Bryant (DD-665)

Chris Brown has sent us photos of a model of the Bryant that he made in honor of his grandfather and crew member, Kenneth W. Lawson, FC3/c. I believe that you will agree with me that it is a beautiful and accurate job.

The message from Chris reads as follows:

In 2001, shortly after my Grandfather passed away I started to collect information about his ship and service during WWII. I had ordered the history book made available from your website, and I also asked many questions about the USS Bryant because I wanted to make a memorial model for my Grandma. Well here it is, the best I could do with all the information I gathered. I added a fiber-optic lighting system to bring about more realism with a flip of a switch. I do miss my Grandfather, but every time I see our American flag I think of him & all He and so many others have done to pay for our freedom. If by chance this is posted, I what to personally thank those brave men & women who have fought for our Country, I am so proud to be an American!
